Flat WITH ABOUT 65 SQUARE METERS OF LIVING SPACE, 2 TERRACES, 3RD BEACH ROW AND SEA VIEW
The market for new constucted real estate in Mallorca is heated up. It was clear to us: we want to buy in a traditional building, where Spaniards are at home and construct an apartment according to all our wishes.
Before:
Floor plan before
The object was interesting on first sight through the two spacious terraces with sea views up to the port of Palma - one with 35 square meters, one with 12 square meters. However, the interior was divided into small rooms, there was only a small bathroom, a separate kitchen, small windows, so that the apartment was overall dark and uncomfortable.
After:
To create a loft character, the walls of the hall, kitchen and living room were torn down. Here was a spacious living room, with plenty of space for a large sofa, a kitchen with island and a dining table. After an intensive exchange with our architect and various window companies, we have found a solution to bring as much light into this newly created space and still avoid direct sunlight.
A wall was converted to enlarge the bathroom, the remaining walls were preserved, so as not to unnecessarily burden the building fabric and save costs (both for demolition, disposal and new construction).
The result was a great apartment with two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with tub and as highlight the new open living area with the two beautiful roof terraces on each side.
